1、Extraction and processing of cellulose raw materials
- The main raw materials include natural plant fibers such as wood pulp, bamboo pulp, and cotton linters.
- These raw materials are first cut into small pieces and alkalized with chemical solvents (such as sodium hydroxide) to break down the cellulose structure and make it easier to process.
2、Formation of cellulose solution (viscose solution)
- The alkalized cellulose undergoes oxidation and becomes a yellow viscous substance called alkali cellulose.
- After treatment with carbon disulfide (CS₂), alkali cellulose is converted into cellulose xanthate, which is then dissolved in a dilute alkali solution to form a stable viscose solution (viscose solution).
- This process requires strict control of temperature and time to ensure the quality of the viscose solution.
3、Spinning (fiber formation)
