Plain Weave
Basic warp and weft weaving involves interlacing vertical (warp) and horizontal (weft) threads in a simple over-under pattern, forming durable plain-weave fabrics like canvas, widely used for bags, shoes, and heavy-duty textiles due to its tight structure and strength.
Twill Weave
Twill weaving creates diagonal lines by offsetting warp and weft threads in a step-like pattern, producing durable fabrics like denim, commonly used for jeans, workwear, and jackets due to its flexibility and abrasion resistance.
Jacquard Weaving
Complex pattern weaving technology uses computer-controlled looms (e.g., Jacquard or Dobby systems) to create intricate geometric or artistic designs in textiles, integrating multi-layered color and texture for luxury apparel, upholstery, or cultural fabrics with digital precision.
Warp & Weft
The longitudinal and transverse yarns (warp and weft) form fabric's structural base. Warp yarns (stronger, tightly aligned) run lengthwise, while weft yarns interlace horizontally, defining texture, drape, and strength. Fiber types (cotton, polyester, silk) and weave patterns shape material properties for diverse applications.
Knitting
Knitting is divided into weft (horizontal loops with a single yarn, e.g., T-shirts) and warp knitting (vertical interlocking with multiple parallel yarns, e.g., lace), differing in elasticity, unraveling risk, and machinery used for apparel or technical textiles.
